Do helmets need to be worn at any facility even if they are traveling slow or going into mud?

  • Helmets are the most part of a riders personal protective gear. Even at the slowest speed helmets are required. However, any DOT approved helmet is fine, including half and 3/4 helmets. See our section on safety gear by clicking here. National Motorsports has three ATV Safety Institute Instructors and one Motorcycle Safety Foundation Instructor on staff. We know the importance of safety. We also understand the economics of requiring helmet use. If your riders do not have helmets, take that opportunity to rent out half helmets to your customers and increase the revenue of your event / facility.
