Commercial Drone Insurance

Coverage Overview

The use of drones is taking off (pun intended), and with that so are the risks associated with operating them as a commercial business. Drones have invaded the motorsports industries as they serve an important tool for promotional material. Many hobbyists or companies do not realize that drones (otherwise known as Unmanned Aerial Systems) are actually classified as aircraft. This poses a problem for commercial businesses as many general liability products exclude aircraft from their policies.

Aside from the United States Federal Aviation Administration's part 107 rules, operating a drone can pose a serious risk should an inflight emergency (such as a flyaway, motor loss, etc.) arise. If this does occur, the drone operator is responsible for any damages resulting in bodily injury, property damage or legal complaints received. National Motorsports can provide coverage for your commercial drone operations.
